• In the event that the vehicle manufacturer does not submit the supply plan within the permitted time frame

    Greetings,

    Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards. It informs you of receiving the letter of the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (43104694) dated (11/11/1443 AH), regarding the letter of the Ministry of Commerce No. (29092) dated (6/11/1443 AH), attached to the letter of the Saudi Standards and Metrology Organization And Quality No. (3219), dated (10/7/1443 AH), regarding Saudi Standard Specification No. (2864) for the "SAUDI CAFE" Standard For light vehicles added to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (2021-2023)", which entered into force on (21/3/1437 AH) corresponding to (1/1/2016 AD). And where clause No. (5-1-1-6) of the specification stated in If the vehicle manufacturer does not submit the supply plan within the permitted time frame, the concerned vehicle manufacturer will not be allowed to supply the vehicles to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia until the supply plan is submitted for review and approval by the Ministry of Commerce (or any person authorized by it, such as the Saudi Energy Efficiency Center or the Fuel Economy Committee) and the concerned vehicle manufacturer will be responsible for any delay that occurs in its commercial activities within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Federation would like to report that (15) vehicle manufacturing companies have not committed to submitting a Supply plan within the specified time frame, to coordinate efforts with the relevant government agencies.
